Unique Stamps of

The Bone Grit Historeum

Most people of Lanlynne craft easy Perse Stamps for general every day use or buy SecondHander Stamps for the same. But a Pyrist will craft unique Stamps akin to their particular Pyre. Below are some such Stamps, each possessing exceptional power and endurance.

Marrow Bind

A powerful Dominion Stamp used to enlist citizens of Lanlynne into service. It was the way the Guardian forced Finders into the Clade of Acquisitions when he took over. Those bound by a Marrow Bind notice pain and a blue glow in the bones of their hand. They must accept their duty or suffer the loss of the hand.

Root saw that he was cradling one of his hands. It was awash in a strange blue tinge. “What’s wrong with your hand?”

He held it up. “It’s a new wickedness of the Wolf. I don’t know how, but it’s able to round us up.”

  “What do you mean?”

“It’s how he marks us now, so we’re easier to find, I guess.”

  “What does it do?”

“I don’t know for sure. But I can tell you it hurts like mad and it’s only getting worse.”

Privus

As a Lexik Pyrist, Drace Fledger crafted a complex Stamp that allowed him to covertly communicate with others. Anything he wrote with his Copper Quill would show up in secret books that were given to those he trusted. In this way he remains out of the Dominion's watch.

Krux

When King Validyn was murdered, the queen was stricken with such despair that a Krux was unloosed over the citadel, a cold invisible menace intent on decaying its walls and driving away anyone who dared enter. It is a curse that remains to this day.

A few floors up, Root felt a sudden onset of cold air and just managed to skirt a stair with a gaping hole that she could have sworn was not there before. Once past the hole, the coldness went away. The boy behind her was not so lucky. Elgart had to rescue his engulfed leg.

“Forgot to mention. Careful of the cold spots,” Elgart announced not just to the boy, but the whole group. “These here walls’ve got a mind of their own sometimes…like t’play tricks on unsuspecting guests. So long as you avoid the cold spots you’ll be just fine.”

Ekladian

“The Ekladians are renowned Pyrists. They create the finest wares in the land. An Ekladian Stamp is a valuable commodity because it’s rare that someone can offer something of equal value. Even Grotius Vulcherk has a hard time getting ahold of or competing with Ekladian goods."
